Fast Time to Market
This is a femoral implant, otherwise known as a knee replacement. It is made at our facility in Warsaw, USA. The main focus with medical impacts is speed of delivery and the ability to get things right first time. We have 35 years' worth of experience with cobalt chrome implants. We are ISO 13485 certified and fully approved supplier of medical castings.
Material Selection
This is a F75, CoCr alloy implant. This is widely used for orthopaedic implants because it is non-magnetic, biocompatible, and highly resistant to corrosions and wear. All of our implants meet the FDA-specified requirements.
Simulation & Prototyping
We were able to simulate the casting process and run confirmation trials to prove dimensional capability. 3D printed waxes were used to gather contraction data and ensure hard tooling was produced correctly straight away. Our pre-production process guarantees 98% right first time.
Quality Control
This is the industry we supply for that has the tightest requirements. Every tolerance and dimension is critical to the component’s functionality. We utilise our expertise and robust quality inspection processes to ensure every part meets the customer’s expectations.
All medical parts must undergo extensive testing both within Texmo Blank’s state-of-the-art NDT lab and then with the customer. We carry out x-rays, FPI tests and tests on material composition.
Delivery
Time to market is a key factor for our client in the medical industry. Any delays can cost them large amounts, so it is essential they can launch a product when planned. Our first-time-right tooling and world-class lead times can guarantee the fastest time to market viable.
Impact
