On July 23, 2024, Texmo Blank welcomed 50 seniors from the Biberach District Fire Brigade Association to a tour of the company in Riedlingen. A short company presentation was followed by a tour of the production facility.
The visitors learned about the individual production steps and also had the opportunity to marvel at the open casting of the hot metal in the foundry. "It's always the most exciting part of the tour of the company," explains Andreas Burgmaier, Head of Production at Texmo Blank Germany.
"The hot metal is poured into the shell at around 1600 °C." The topic of automation in production was also particularly interesting for the visitors. "We already use robots at various points in the manufacturing process, including in the foundry," says Burgmaier.
The tour ended with a short discussion, which left room for answering any questions. "We hope we were able to give the visitors a good insight into the processes of a foundry and would like to thank the seniors for their interest."
